This authentic handmade porcupine Quill Basket is constructed from real birchbark and beautifully decorated with real porcupine quills. The intricate Trillium flower design on the lid has been meticulously handcrafted. This Quill Basket is trimmed with sweetgrass, one of the four sacred herbs. The birch bark porcupine quill basket is a centuries-old traditional craft which originated with the Woodlands Indians of eastern Canada. The time and skill required to make these Quill Baskets can be appreciated by any collector. They are a very popular collectable!
